The Royal Liverpool Golf Club links at Hoylake can be beautiful, uplifting, challenging, and even daunting when the wind blows and the summer rough is deep. The course was created to be a demanding test of golf and remains so today. Being one of the oldest of all the English seaside clubs, it lies at the very heart of the history and development of the game in Great Britain.
Despite its, at first glance, flat and benign appearance, Hoylake makes the trickiest demands of a player’s shot selection, distance control and accuracy. When Open Championships are hosted here only the ultimate masters of these elements emerge victorious as Champion Golfer of the Year. Royal Liverpool’s 13 Opens have delivered 13 different Champions, comprising an array of amateur stars, history makers and modern-day giants - with many of them claiming wins of huge historical significance.
I will be shocked if John and Nicola ever receive anything less than 5 Star ratings. My mates and I were looking for the "bucket list" golf trip to Scotland. We got an itinerary with confirmed tee times and dining reservations a year in advance. The golf courses were Turnberry, Prestwick, Royal Troon, St. Andrews Castle, THE OLD COURSE and Carnoustie. Upon arrival John promised that if anything was not to our liking to call him immediately and he would look into it. We never got a chance to test out his promise because everything went perfectly - with several positive surprises. Thanks John and Nicola for making our trip memorable.

She ensured we were in the Old Course balloting-system and that we were also checked in for the Old Course singles daily lottery. I was fortunate to secure two opportunities to play the Old Course. Nicola went out her way many times, including traveling back to pick me up from another course to ensure I made my Old Course check in time. She also meet up with me on the 18th tee to follow me in while taking pictures of a very memorable experience. ProScotGolf provides exceptional customer service and value. I will be planning my next trip soon.

John is a knowledgeable and hilarious tour guide - our group really enjoyed his company. John was attentive, punctual, and high energy.
