Barassie Links
(Former qualifying course for the Open)
Barassie Golf Club has an extensive history where it has been offering golfers a magnificent links golf challenge in Ayrshire since the 1800s.
Barassie Golf Club is located on the outskirts of Troon on Scotland’s South West Coast, has twenty seven holes with which to test the golfer, complemented by first-rate facilities in the clubhouse.
Prestwick St Nicholas Links – Founded 1851
Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club is the 26th oldest Golf Club in the world. Old Tom Morris winner of four Open Championships was a founding/honorary member of the club, a traditional Scottish links golf course occupying a prime position on the shores of the Firth of Clyde.
The deep bunkers, running fairways, undulating greens and strands of gorse test the skills of players of all abilities and at 6044 yards, this par 69 course is a must for amateur golfers of all ages.
West Kilbride Links – Founded 1893
The West Kilbride Golf Club is situated on the Ayrshire coast, and has spectacular views of the Firth of Clyde to the beautiful island of Arran from every hole.
The 2nd 9 holes runs along the sea and is a great links course for all standards of golfer.
Irvine Links – Founded 1887
The Irvine Golf Club established 1887, is a fine example and is regularly used by the R&A as a Final Open Qualifying Course.
It truly is one of Scotland’s hidden gems, offering a traditional links challenge, which owes much of its present day character to the course design of the great James Braid. One of Scotland’s most celebrated course designers, James Braid created a legacy of distinctive courses, characterised by their great variety and interesting use of nature’s assets.
