Golf
St Andrews Old Course - (Guaranteed Tee time)
The oldest and most iconic golf course in the world. The Swilcan Bridge and Hell Bunker are recognised across the globe, yet the greatest feature of the Old Course is that despite its grand status it remains a public golf course, open to all.
Trolleys on the Old Course are only permitted after 12 noon between the months of April and October – we recommend that you employ the services of a local caddie who will not only carry your bag but will also give you on course guidance. Caddie Fees: £50 + Gratuity (£20 Minimum)
St Andrews New Course – Founded 1895
The oldest ‘new’ course in the world, the second course at the Home of Golf was built by the Keeper of the Green Tom Morris in 1895 and it was imaginatively named to differentiate from its famous neighbour. Boasting undulating fairways and challenging greens, the New Course is a classic test of Links golf
Carnoustie Championship Links – Host to the 2018 Open Championship
The game of golf has been played in Carnoustie for well over four centuries. The first indication that the game was being played in the Angus town can be found in the Parish Records of 1560 when the game of gowff was mentioned and there is every indication that the game has played an important part in the town’s life ever since.
Crail Balcomie Links – Founded 1786
A combination of stunning coastal views, centuries of history and hugely enjoyable golf is what makes Balcomie Links one of Scotland’s most finely polished, golfing gems. This traditional, classic links course was laid out by the old master himself, Tom Morris, and opened in 1895
